3rd Place, winning a $10.00 Draude’s Derailment Gift Certificate and Passing Trains Volume 1 DVD goes to Robert Walker of Akron OH. His photograph was taken with a Nikon D 5200 18mm lens 1 second exposure at f16 with existing light.

Robert visited the Short Line Railroad in Ephrata PA early in 2017 and was very limited in what he could shoot due to crowds and small areas to set a tripod. He took a couple of shots of the rural town because in his words, “I needed a static subject due to the light and my long exposure. It wasn’t until I cropped it tightly and did some minor corrections that I was happy with it. I still regret not using f22 for a greater depth of focus.”  Bob’s before and after shots are here for your comparison.
